Kenilworth's Presbyterian Women are hosting a fundraiser for Eastside Village. Everyone is welcome! Enjoy a hearty buffet of delicious foods and support Eastside Village at the same time. For more details visit www.kenilworthpc.com. Tickets are $20 per person. Please call the EV Office at 503-866-0571 or the Kenilworth Presbyterian Church at 503-235-3977 with questions.
Kenilworth Presbyterian Women have a history of helping others. Raising money from
rummage sales, the women found many projects to support. In 2017, they held their first
Tea Party, an event to raise money to help women attend a national gathering for
Presbyterian Women. That Tea Party was so much fun, it grew into fabulous tea parties
in the following years that supported the Kenten Women’s Tiny House Village, R&R
New Options Equine (a horse rescue project that also works with people with
disabilities), and Shepherd’s Door (the women’s and children shelter of Portland Rescue
Mission).
They have also provided meals for the Wy’East Veterans Shelter, Rahab Sisters, and
Bybee Lakes Hope Center. They have packed Christmas Gifts for Multnomah Do Good,
sent care packages to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and created Blessings Bags
that can be handed to those seeking aid.
This year, after seeing a presentation by Eastside Village, they decided to host a
Brunch to raise funds for scholarships for this organization to help low income people
join this community.
Kenilworth Presbyterian Church is located at the corner of SE 34th and Gladstone, in the
Creston Kenilworth Neighborhood. The church hosts a weekly food pantry to help food
insecure people. The church is a welcoming and inclusive community with mission sewn
into its DNA. The question is never should we do something. It is instead how can we
help?
